Yosemite Valley
OFFERED IN SUMMER AND FALL*
Insiders will tell you that this hike is equally challenging but more rewarding than Half Dome, with a summit that provides sweeping views of Half Dome, the Cathedral Range and Tenaya Canyon. The view from here is considered by many to be even better than from the top of Half Dome. This is some of the most epic hiking available for a Yosemite day hike.
The hike to Cloud’s Rest, one of John Muir’s favorite places, begins near picturesque Tenaya Lake, considered by many to be the gateway to the high country, and continues south for over six miles to the exposed ridgeline of Cloud’s Rest. The day’s highlight will be the exhilarating half mile up to the 9,900' granite summit. The panorama from the top, free from trees, offers unobstructed views of Yosemite.
Bring your camera, plenty of water, and your sense of adventure as our guides lead you on this unforgettable journey. This trip, due to its length and elevation, will test your endurance, but the rewards are beyond spectacular!
